Here at Recspec HQ, we decided to have a very special Christmas this year, with a very special tree. We watched all of Twin Peaks again in its entirety, to get ready for our 2nd Twin Peaks dress up party in February (details coming soon, click the link to view photos from our last one) – which coincided with us putting up our Christmas tree and trying to decide on a theme for our decorations. And thus, a Very Twin Peaks Christmas was born!
If there’s anything that can be said about Recspec, its that we tend to go a bit overboard when it comes to pet projects and personal favorites. So, we went a bit overboard. We hope that you like the results, and will get in a Twin Peaks-y mood with us, by listening to our 8tracks below – which (believe it or not) is perfectly suited for Christmas listening. You’ll see.
And without further ado, we give you our Twin Peaks Christmas: sparkling with Douglas Firs, memories of Laura, and gifts for all of your favorite Twin Peaks residents. The first part was taking an amazing globe lamp we have and converting it into our very own Glastonbury Grove, with the portal to the Black Lodge, a ring of trees, a small, lost Agent Cooper and a tiny Laura wrapped in plastic, of course. There are many many more pictures, which you can see over on our Flickr.
The owls are not what they seem. Next, our very festively creepy tree…
How’s Annie?
One Eyed Jack is watching…
Tiny logs for the Log Lady.
Pierre Tremond’s white mask, stick included.
Fireside, naturally.
The Man From Another Place is a perfect guide…
Don’t take the ring, Laura.
Thanks for reading! Don’t forget to listen to our Very Twin Peaks Christmas 8tracks + view the rest of the photos on our Flickr. We wish you a merry, and somewhat creepy Christmas and we’ll see you, in the trees…
